God has showed me a greater understanding of who our real enemy is. Our enemy is not the rebellious person who hates Christians, or someone who lies to your face, it is not the prideful LGBT community, or anyone who blatantly hates and murders for no reason. Our enemy is and will be as long as we are on this earth: Satan, the lord of darkness and his demons.
He stirs us up to ultimately hate and oppose weak vessels and the broken hearted. The same people we need to chase after with love and compassion. The people who WE once were, and who Jesus died for. They are created in God’s image, designed for greatness in His kingdom. The devil lies to us to hate these lost sheep, who have gone astray. We cannot continue to believe him anymore.
God desires to bring these sheep back to Himself and if we are repulsed by them, we are good for nothing. We do not have the Father’s love in us. We need to desperately seek revelation, seek deliverance and above all else, learn who the real enemy is and who the hurting people are. We can oppose everything that God hates, but when it comes to people, we need to use better tact and discernment in being a representation of Christ.
The devil does not want us to take the time in reaching lost souls. He tries all he can to have us not relate to people, judge, and resist people who are living contrary to the Word of God. But who were we? We were them. Promoting, indulging, and blatantly living in the same sins as those who we are now tempted to be offended by. We can no longer be touchy and sensitive by people sinning, it should not impress us.
Jesus ate with sinners. He was a light in the darkness. He loved them even though he didn’t have sin in common. It’s because His love is to be learned and sought after. Love, we ourselves do not fully understand. The enemy and all his demons hate this only true love.
As you read this, and implement this revelation in your life, Satan loses ground in your heart because now you know how to defeat his schemes. Simply learn about God’s character, learn about His amazing love for us and realize that your Heavenly Father has great compassion for the people who seem unlovable.
To reiterate, we have one true opponent who diverts our attention towards his evil work in people. We must see beyond flaws and choices and look at people’s heart. If we look at their heart the way God does, we will have a greater compassion for their eternal life. Jesus didn’t wait for people to change before He loved them, He loved them and that caused people to change.
The enemy does not want me to tell you about his weakness and he will try to come against you when you choose to love. However God has given you the authority to defeat him and focus your prayers of warfare against his camp. When you are tempted to hate, be offended by or look down upon any person for whatever reason, know that the enemy is winning in your life. You must choose to defeat him by learning about God’s character and how God sees people.
This revelation is life changing for me because I have been set free from many demonic bondage’s and sinful mindsets while God drew me to Himself by His powerful love. So now when I interact with people, I know their mindset about life and what fuels them, it’s easier to show compassion even though they don’t have the slightest clue about eternity.
I want to close with this – this may take some time to get use to. It has taken me over 10 years to understand how God wants me to look at people in this lost world. When you love someone, His way, you are not outwardly saying you agree with their lifestyle or blatant disregard for a relationship with Him. The contrary is true, you are seeing them as a pure creation, God did not make a mistake when He spoke them into existence in their mother’s womb. They were designed in His image. He desires to “clean them up” and see them victorious over the enemy. He can do the impossible for the person who is drowning in sin. Resist Satan’s lies to be complacent and you will live a fruitful, happy life, walking in the Father’s love. Amen.

Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. Isaiah 30:18 (NASB)
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:12-13 (NASB)
Do you forget about His loving-kindness to you? Do you forget how long He is waiting for you? You know that God is kind. He is trying to get you to be sorry for your sins and turn from them. Romans 2:4 (NLV)
