The Desires God Gives You

Christians, when my wife and I were preparing for our first child, my wife was really wanting to get this little nighttime light up seahorse for our baby.  We had priced it at a retail store for $15.00 and we felt to hold off. Through a series of God-led events, we were at our favorite 2nd hand baby store (Once Upon A Child).  They were having an AMAZING deal, all clearance items were $1.00. My wife looked and found the exact seahorse toy she wanted for $1.00, glory to God!

Afterwards, she was getting the revelation that God GIVES you desires, so He can fulfill them and you can then glorify Him for fulfilling them.  So many times we think we make up desires, and to be honest, a lot of times we do. As Christians, we should always be praying, “Lord let your will be done in my life.”  When you pray with a sincere heart, God WILL have His way in your life, He will fill your life with His desires. You will accept the desires and make them your desires. God will begin to open and shut doors, leading and guiding you to His perfect will, where all your desires will be fulfilled, and you cannot help but give Him all the glory.

It is great when God does this.  He showed us this revelation through a dollar toy, but it is so much bigger than this.  God wants to fulfill BIG desires: buying homes, starting businesses, going on trips, launching ministries.  Fulfilling your God given purpose is a desires He puts in us. He wants us to grab a hold of that desire, so He can fulfill it.  So many times in life, we underestimate HOW MUCH goes into God’s plan for our lives.

He desires to be in every detail, every decision, every thought, feeling, emotion, smile and tear, if we let Him be.  He is always working things out for His timing, for His will, and His totally unique, fun, and faith-filled way. I look back at my life and I know some desires were not God’s.  They did not come to pass, they faded away and I changed my mindset to be what His desire truly is.

Fill yourself up with faith and hope, take an inventory of the desires you know God has put in your life, remind Him of them, He has not forgotten, but maybe YOU have.  Let Him know that you have a desire to see them come to pass. God wants you to be VERY aware of the desire you have, that He gave to you. Why? It is all part of His grand equation.  God created man for His glory, God gives man desires, man accepts God’s desires, makes them his own, God fulfills said desires, man gives God glory! I pray that God fulfills the desires He put in you, in His timing, in His way. I pray that when He does, you glorify, magnify, and honor Him for who He is, because He is so worthy. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, who I formed and made.  Isaiah 43:7 (NIV)

Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.  Psalm 37:4-6 (NIV)

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.  We will [shout in] triumph at your salvation and victor, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners.  May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Psalm 20:4-5 (AMP)

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:36 (AMP)

Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the Glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1 (NIV)

You are worthy our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.  Revelation 4:11 (NIV)
